I'm currently an independent contractor working in the areas of risk assessment, decision making and biosecurity. I worked as the manager of Plants and Pathways risk assessment at MPI for 11 years, and was a risk analyst for plant health 5 years before that. Prior to that I worked on more practical aspects of risk assessment, prioritisation and management of invasive weeds (with a bit on other invasive species.). I have worked on invasive species risk assessment, prioritisation and management in some of the world's hottest and coolest locations (mostly NZ, but have also worked in Mauritius, Niue, India, the Maldives and Antarctica). I have a particular interest in improving methods and skills in ways which are practical and collaborative.
