Vildan BOZKURT(PhD) was born in Bursa/TURKEY. She graduated from Plant Protection Department of Agricultural Faculty of Ankara University in Ankara in 1986. She graduated from School of Nature and Applied Sciences, University of Ankara in 1994. She studied on her master “Investigations of Brevipalpus obovatus Donnadieu (Phytoptipalpidae: Acarina) biology and hosts”. She got MSc. degree from Entomology. She graduated from PhD. at the Department of Plant Protection of Ankara University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. She studied on “Investigations On Alternative Control Methods Of [(Cacopsylla pyri (L.) (Hemiptera: Psyllidae)] Which Is Harmful On Pear Orchards In Ankara Province” for her PhD.

She has been working on Plant Protection Central Research Institute in Ankara as a researcher since 1998. She has been working on department of Entomology on fruit and grape pests. She is interested in Agricultural Entomology, Integrated Pest Managament (IPM), Biotechnic Control Methods, Alternative Control Methods, Forest Pests, Plant Quarantine, Pest Risk Analyses, Biological Efficacy Assesment of Plant Protection Products.
