A recently published article by IPRRG member Erica Kistner covers the findings from her talk at IPRRG 2017 in Ottawa, for which Erica won the Best Presentation award:
Kistner, E.J. Climate change impacts on the potential distribution and abundance of the brown marmorated stink bug (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) with special reference to North America and Europe. Environ. Entomol. 2017; 00:1-13. https://doi.org/10.1093/ee/nvx157
Summary: In this article, the potential geographic distribution and seasonal phenology of the invasive brown marmorated stink bug were modeled under current and projected future climate scenarios using CLIMEX. This work highlights areas of emerging or increasing risks posed by this insect pest and can be used to inform biosecurity planning and pest management in light of a changing climate.
